I will enjoy the winter

This year
I will enjoy the winter
Not just the fall

This year
I will enjoy the winter
beyond the nostalgia of the first cold winds

This year
I will enjoy the winter
the city continuing to hum hours after the sun sets
the hats and gloves and coats
the sting on my ears as I pedal my way to work
the soups, spice cakes, pots of hot tea
and the warmth of your hand in mine

oohhh, no joke! Just romance? Nice poem. As this cold snap is playing itself out, are you still holding true to your resolution?

I'm happy to report, I am holding true. I'm really enjoying the winter. It's not the cold that gets me so much as the lack of sun, and we've been doing pretty good in that area.
In fact, I'd welcome a few rainy days at this point.
Glad you liked the poem, thanks.
